In8 Creative Design has provided Scientiae with a new logo! Tree figures, tree diagrams and branched schemas are a long-lasting visual metaphor and one of the dominant symbols in early modern science and medicine. They have fascinated philosophers and scientists in the early modern world, who used them as models to display disciplines of knowledge and science, conceptual and biological associations in the natural world, as well as evolutionary relationships in natural species.
Tree illustrations have been used to organise human knowledge and as visual classification systems, expressing the human desire for order, hierarchy and structure in the natural world.
